Charis SA (Charismatic Renewal movement) recently hosted a Life in Spirit Retreat titled “Walking In Victory,” led by Brother Colin Calmiano, a Lay Missionary from India.

Br. Colin preached about the Holy Spirit and the transformative power that the Holy Spirit brings into the life of a believer who chooses to make Jesus their Lord and Master. He explained how the Holy Spirit can make a believer into a new creation in Jesus, led by the Spirit.

As promised by Jesus before His ascension, the disciples would receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them (Acts 1:8). The same power is available to us now, and this was witnessed by the participants of the Retreat.

The Word of God was preached with power, and the Holy Spirit moved mightily, filling the attendees with His gifts, including speaking in tongues, joy, and peace. The anointing of the Holy Spirit has given us a fresh experience of the presence of our Lord, empowering us to witness our faith as we continue to serve Him and His Church.
